Actress Heidi Silberman joined Alison and James on The Real Radio Show to discuss her dual role as Mrs. Darling and Captain Hook in the upcoming production Peter/Wendy, from Ribix Productions opening at the Mill Theatre on September 3. This fresh adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s classic, written by Jeremy Bloom, leans into the darker themes of the original story, exploring grief, motherhood, and transformation. Heidi shared how her portrayal of Hook emerges from Mrs. Darling’s fierce love for her daughter, blending whimsy and emotional depth. As a drama teacher and mentor, she also highlighted the production’s commitment to nurturing young talent, with emerging artists taking on key roles and learning behind the scenes. Peter/Wendy runs until September 27 and promises a powerful reimagining of Neverland for mature audiences.
