Montreal post-punk trio Cola are gearing up for their first-ever Australian tour, bringing their latest album Cost of Living Adjustment to local stages and they couldn’t be more excited to finally experience Aussie crowds.
Chatting with Tobias, bandmates Ben Stidworthy and Evan Cartwright shared their anticipation for everything from Canberra’s “planned city” identity to diving into the country’s famously energetic live music scene, after hearing local audiences are “really uninhibited, really appreciative.”
The band also spoke about the organic and collaborative process behind the new record, revealing how standout track “Conflagration Mindset” helped shape its direction, while still embracing a mix of moods and textures, something they’ve come to see as a strength.
With a genuine love for touring, meeting people, and exploring new cities, Cola are clearly ready to make the most of the journey Down Under.
