Comedian Daniel Sloss spoke with The Real Radio Show’s Hannah and Tash ahead of bringing his new show Bitter to Canberra, and it was exactly as chaotic and funny as you’d expect. Sloss explained that while his career is going great, Netflix specials, sold‑out tours, the lot, he’s still somehow annoyed about everything, which is where the title comes from. From there, the conversation quickly spiraled into him gleefully roasting Australian customer service, Melbourne cafés, and the nation’s complete lack of spatial awareness, all while insisting (repeatedly) that he genuinely loves Australia.

The chat also touched on how his comedy has shifted over the years. Now married with two kids, Sloss reckons he’s lost a bit of his edge, not because he’s nicer, but because empathy isn’t quite as funny as cruelty. These days, his main rule is simple: if the joke makes him laugh, it stays in. With his wife as the final filter to make sure the irony actually lands, Bitter sounds like classic Sloss, just slightly more self‑aware and still very ready to stir the pot.
