On the road as part of their Our Love is Off The Table regional Australia tour, Ollie from Lime Cordiale phoned into the UCFM studio to chat with James and Ewan from Local Lunch about the band’s latest single, past collaborations, touring, and their ever-evolving creative process ahead of their Canberra show at the UC Refectory on May 3rd.
The trio discussed the band’s organic writing process and the band’s newest release, “Melodramatic Fanatic,” featuring Ruel. Discovering that the song has an unusual backstory—it was written years ago during their first studio session with the pop singer and only recently revived and released as a collaborative effort.
Off the back of a huge US tour Ollie recounted some stories from life on the road, including a wild European leg where their keyboardist shattered his kneecap in Copenhagen but continued performing before eventually returning home.
