Triple J drive show host Abby Butler sat down with The Real Radio Show host Tia to talk about how she got into radio and what it’s like working at one of Australia’s favourite radio stations.
Abby Butler’s journey into radio began in 2017 as a uni student volunteering at FBI Radio. What started as a way to meet people quickly became a passion. “The first time you get behind a microphone… I fell in love with it,” she said.
Her experience at FBI and a stint in social media led to a role at Triple J Unearthed, and now she co-hosts the drive show with Tyrone. Abby credits community radio for kickstarting her career and encourages others to “just give it a crack yourself… you never know what could happen.”
