AJ from The Real Radio Show sat down with Dale Thain, performing arts teacher and director at St Francis Xavier College, to talk about their upcoming production of Legally Blonde: The Musical. Dale shared how the show goes beyond the familiar story of Elle Woods chasing love at Harvard Law—it’s a vibrant, heart-driven journey of self-discovery and empowerment. With over 90 cast members and a newly refurbished theatre, this production promises a fresh and meaningful take on the beloved musical.

Dale also spoke passionately about the power of drama in education, highlighting how it builds essential life skills like collaboration, confidence, and resilience. She’s especially focused on creating empowering roles for women and hopes to develop original works in the future. Legally Blonde runs from August 6–9 at the SFX Theatre in Florey, and tickets are available via TryBooking. As Elle would say—“Oh my God, you guys!”—don’t miss it.
