Dr Chloe Lim is redefining what it means to be a scientist and artist, merging her background in medical science with a passion for balloon artistry. Chloe stopped by the UCFM studio and spoke with Alison and AJ on The Real Radio Show this week. From creating life-sized balloon sculptures, including a Taylor Swift replica, to performing educational shows like The Great Pollinator Show at Floriade, Chloe uses balloons to teach kids about DNA, genetics, and native pollinators like the teddy bear bee. Her business, Giggly Wiggly Balloons, and children’s book What Makes You Unique reflect her mission to make science fun and accessible. A former researcher in epigenetics, Chloe encourages young people to explore their passions fearlessly and embrace creativity, proving that science and art can coexist beautifully, and even be inflated to new heights.
