Aussie music legend Michael Simic — who’s rocked everything from Canberra house parties to the Sydney Opera House — called into the UCFM studio to chat with the team from ‘And Now…‘ about his latest project, Mikelangelo and the Long Lost Friends. After uncovering the long-lost master tapes of his very first solo album, The Lost Recordings, Michael decided to bring those tracks back to life with a fresh new band and a run of live shows.

Now based in Braidwood, Michael has teamed up with a crew of local musos, jamming regularly to bring his old songs back to life while also writing fresh tracks they’ll be recording soon. Michelangelo and the Long Lost Friends are bringing a fresh mix of indie, folk, and roots-rock vibes — perfect for anyone keen to catch some live music with a unique twist. You can catch them at Smith’s Alternative in Canberra on March 8, with more shows lined up in Melbourne, Sydney, and beyond.
