If you’ve ever thought about getting into politics but felt overwhelmed, UC’s Professor Chris Wallace says the Pathways to Politics for Women program is built exactly for you. Ben from The Wrap Up recently spoke with Professor Wallace about the program that’s all about confidence, practical skills, and connections.

The free program runs from August to October and wraps up with participants delivering a stump speech in the Senate chamber at Old Parliament House. Professor Wallace also pushed back on the idea that being young is a barrier, saying, “People sometimes think if you’re young that you can’t go into politics, and we know that’s not true.” Her message was simple: if you care about what’s happening around you and want to be part of the solution, this could be your sign to go for it.
