This week on The Wrap Up, we caught up with Angelia and Rosie from the UC Dramatic Arts Club for our Student Society Spotlight. They gave us the lowdown on their upcoming production, The House of Bernarda Alba, a powerful Spanish drama set in the 1930s about a grieving mother who forces her daughters into eight years of mourning. “It’s a bit of a tragedy, a bit of drama,” Angelia shared. “We’re really excited to perform it later this month.”

Beyond theatre, the club hosts karaoke nights, improv sessions, and even slam poetry events. While the cast for the current show is locked in, they’re still looking for backstage and tech help if anyone is interested. As Taylor put it, “We’re a very chill theatrical group of people,” and they’re always open to new faces and fresh ideas, including original works in the future possibly 👀.
