Loz, the creative force behind the Tipsy Sketching Club, recently joined AJ and Alison in the UCFM studio on The Real Radio Show to share how this unique blend of art and socialising came to life. Founded in 2022, the club offers relaxed life drawing sessions in pubs and venues across Canberra and beyond, perfect for both seasoned artists and those who haven’t sketched since school.
With themed events like “May the 4th” Star Wars night and the upcoming “Middle Earth Muses” Lord of the Rings session, Tipsy Sketching is all about creativity without pressure. All materials are provided, and the vibe is inclusive, fun, and a little bit cheeky (yes, there’s nudity but only from the models!). As Loz puts it, “Everyone is creative. Everyone is an artist.” With sessions expanding into regional NSW and soon Melbourne, this club is turning casual creativity into a national movement.
